Alexandre Piel joins Télé Images International as head of international co-productions

From September 2006, Alexandre Piel will be joining the Télé Images International team as head of international co-productions. 36 year-old Alexandre Piel already has a solid background in the television industry, dating back to 1997 when he headed the video products division of France Télévision Distribution. The following year he joined their international sales team, taking on responsibility for the English- and Spanish-speaking territories, as well as the Middle East. Since May 2001 - still with FTD - Alexandre took on responsibility for development and acquisitions, as well as marketing and pre-financing of documentaries and animated programs. At Télé Images International, Alexandre Piel will - in liaison with Marie-Laure Montironi - manage all pre-financing: from animation to documentaries and drama productions. He'll also be taking on responsibility for sales in France and the United Kingdom. Let us recall that Nicolas Coppermann, until recently associate-manager of programming at M6 with responsibility for drama production and general secretary of the network, has just taken over as director of Tele Images. About Tele Images: Established in 1984, Tele Images is one of the leading audiovisual groups in France and in Europe. Tele Images is present on all French networks through its drama productions (The Dominici Case, Night Squad, Lea Parker, Colomba, The Blue Bicycle…), documentaries (The great Savannah Race, The Hidden Jungle, Miracle Planet, The Untamed Collection…), and animation (Street Football, Atomic Betty…). Tele Images also has a very strong position in the international market, thanks to prestigious co-productions and a rich catalogue including, most notably, NHK programs. Tele Images is part of France's 2nd largest audio-visual group – provisionally named Finhera – that also includes Adventure Line Productions, Marathon and Marathon Media.
