David Frank to step down as Zodiak CEO Marc-Antoine d'Halluin appointed as successor
Zodiak Media ("Zodiak") has announced that David Frank is to stand down as group CEO in mid-October and that Marc-Antoine d'Halluin will succeed him. Frank was appointed Zodiak CEO in July 2010 when RDF Media Group ("RDF") was acquired by Zodiak. Prior to that he was CEO of RDF, a company he founded in 1993.
Marc-Antoine d'Halluin has been appointed as the new CEO and will take up his responsibilities on 15thOctober 2013. A French national, since 2011 he has been a partner of Rubis Media Partners, a media investment and advisory practice. Prior to this he was CEO and President of pan-Arabic broadcasters Showtime (2006-2009) and Orbit Showtime Network (2009-2010). He was CEO of pay TV Scandinavian Platform Canal+ Nordic (C More Entertainment) between 2003 and 2005. He began his TV career with Sony Pictures in London in 1995 before moving to Fox Kids Europe (1997-2003) as Group MD, Channels.
Frank informed majority shareholder, De Agostini, several months ago of his intention to leave Zodiak at the end of 2013 and since then has been helping De Agostini to identify his successor and make plans for an orderly transition to the new CEO.
David Frank said: "It's been an incredibly difficult decision for me because I have loved my time with Zodiak and have had a great relationship with my shareholders who have been nothing but supportive throughout. However I felt the time was right for a change for me and for the company.
"In Marc-Antoine I think we have found the perfect candidate to take Zodiak forward he combines intelligence and experience with strong personal skills and strategic insight. I feel confident that he understands what's needed to build on Zodiak's considerable strengths.
"I haven't decided yet exactly what I'll do next but I'm excited by the prospect of a fresh challenge. Meanwhile I believe that Zodiak will go from strength to strength it's a group with incredible talent, combining creativity with a first class distribution business. It's been a pleasure and honour to have held such a prestigious position for the past three years."

Frank will leave Zodiak by the end of the year but will continue as a non-executive director and advisor.
