Zodiak Rights Best Drama Distributor of the year for The Returned, best-sold French drama in 2013 (TVFI Export Award)
Zodiak Rights is thrilled to announce it has received on December 9th in Paris the 2013 TV France International Export Award. The prize rewards Zodiak Rights' outstanding worldwide distribution, in over 40 major territories, of 2013 International Emmy winner The Returned (aka Les Revenants), produced by Haut et Court TV for CANAL+ Original Creation.
The TVFI Award rewards each year the distributor of the internationally bestselling French program abroad in its category (drama, animation or documentary). Several hundreds of buyers of the industry vote on a series of criteria including their perception and knowledge of the series, the volume and type of sales, the broadcasters and platforms sold to, the sales marketing strategy...
This is the fifth TVFI Export Prize brought home by Zodiak Rights, previously rewarded for the distribution of St-Tropez (drama) in 2004, Totally Spies (animation) in 2005, Dolmen (drama) in 2006 and Braquo (drama) in 2011.

The Returned has been a huge hit in France where it is known as Les Revenants and became the highest-rated original drama of all time on CANAL+. In the UK, the series described as "Best drama of the year" by The Sunday Times, became the highest rated subtitled drama in the UK since 2006, attracting an average audience of 1.8 million viewers in its prime time slot on Channel 4. The series is currently airing in French as well on USA's high profile Sundance Channel and on HBO Latin America.
