Zodiak Rights inks slew of deals for International Emmy Award cop series Braquo
Zodiak Rights, the distribution arm of Zodiak Media, has secured a raft of deals for Braquo, the 24x60' International Emmy-Award winning series produced by Capa Drama for CANAL+ Original Creation. Building on the success of the first 2 seasons, Australia, the UK, Brazil, Israel and New Zealand have acquired the series, which premieres on CANAL+ on February 10th.
In Australia, Foxtel has acquired the TV rights of Braquo's third season launched last Mipcom, while Beyond snatched the DVD rights. In the UK, the third season starring the rogue cops was acquired by Fox.
Further sales of the third season include Globosat in Brazil, Hot in Israel and Rialto in New Zealand.
This third season also triggered the interest of new partners who have purchased all 3 seasons at once, among which K+ in Vietnam, HRT in Croatia and Viasat in Bulgaria.
Other recent sales of the Braquo series include pan regional channel DirectTV (Latam ex Mexico and Brazil) for the first two seasons.
Winner of the 2012 International EMMY® for Best Drama, Braquo is a major hit in France, where its second season has broken all previous records, ranking number one crime series of all time on Canal+.
Braquo already sold to 90 territories, including the US (Hulu), UK (Fox), Italy (Fox Intl.
